Greg Grinnan
Greg Grinnan is responsible for mineral acquisition, land and legal issues, and overall management of the portfolio. Prior to forming ClareMark Minerals he was a Project Manager with Grinnan Land Services where he was responsible for title research and lease negotiations that led to the formation of JDS Minerals, LLC. Upon a major acquisition in the Permian Basin by JDS Minerals, ClareMark Minerals was formed. Mr. Grinnan has decades of experience in the Permian Basin researching and marketing mineral interests. He has negotiated leases and acquired acreage for both, major oil companies, and countless mineral owners in New Mexico and Texas.
Mark Thompson
Mark Thompson earned his degree in Geology with a minor in Petroleum Land Management from the University of Texas and has been engaged in the oil and gas industry for 40 years. His experience encompasses all aspects of the petroleum business, from title work to completion of the drilling project. His early years were spent as a well-site geologist which expanded into a career as a land professional. His expertise in geology and land acquisition helped Devon Energy develop its holdings during the shale revolution beginning in the Barnett Shale and progressing into the Permian Basin of west Texas.
